Just a quick note of appreciation for Doug. I recentley bought an 18 watt amp and it flat floors me. I was fortunate enough to meet up with Doug and although he did not know me he took the time to demo some amps for me and answer any and all questions I had even though I am an intermediate player. Turned out to be quite a tutoring session in amp technology/theory. I'm now waiting on an HG 100. Just wish I could buy direct from Doug himself. Really a class guy.

Doug is a great guy that happens to make amazing amps.
When we first became a dealer he was kind enough to come to our store and hang out for an afternoon (and we're not just around the corner from his shop!).

A great guy and builder of some of the most amazing amps on the market today. Second to none and their respective classes.

I was lucky enough to buy my HG100 direct from him back in the day. A perfect buying experience. I was lucky enough to be in SoCal a couple years ago and stopped by to say "hi". Lot's of hours on the phone just talking about anything and everything. I consider him a friend.

I have never heard better "Marshall Style" high gain clips than J Mart's HG100 stuff on his page. I just get floored every time I listen to those!!!
    Great tone.

Doug really understands what makes for a great "Marshall sound" for sure. Great sounding amps, no doubt about it.

Once I did a blind sampling of a bunch of clips of different boutique amps on a CD...I was trying to pick that one amp thjat speaks to me that would allow for great cleans and great gain sounds.... after selecting the winners Ken revealed the amp names to me....

Right up there with the Bruno UG30 and Super 100 was the Roccaforte Custom 80. That's when I knew Doug made some special gear.

Before I bought the Roccaforte, I gave Doug a call and he answered all my questions and did not talk to me in a condescending way - very professional and not too geeky-technical (because I'm not an amp tech). Between Doug and Make N' Music, it was an easy decision to go with the Roccaforte.

Doug flat out rocks. I've talked to him a few times before and played through a couple of his amps. The HG100 is truly the holy grail.

Thank you for the nice compliments and I agree that Doug's amps are far beyond anything else out there. His "Tell it like it is" attitude convinced me that he was my man. No fluffy BS, just kick ass amps and service!

Hey Doug. Sorry to hijack the thread, but how are you doing these days? I know you had some bumps in the road healthwise. Hopefully you're on the road to feeling better.:dude

Don't forget, Doug’s a pretty mean guitar player too!

A friend introduced me to him and suggested he could fix my amp. It was incredible to watch him work. What a great experience he makes it look so natural and he appears to do magic. Tone is in his bones! I learned some thing that about amps that night that I will never forget.

    Doug hope all is well.

I am the proud owner of a C80 that I purchased on the recommendation of BrianH. The sucker rips. I hit the front end with a Fulldrive 2 and it just souds amazing.

The build quality is stellar to boot.

Roccaforte are just about the only mastervolume amps that have a pre-amp gain stage that I like. In addition, they clean up with volume knob very well. I don't think there is a better mastervolume Marshall head made anywhere.
