Couple of days ago marked 14 years since Lonesome Dave passed away from complications with cancer. I miss him and Rod Price tremendously-they were my favorite "guitar team." Here's some Don Kirschner footage from '74:

i'm glad i got the chance to see the reunited band a couple of times (in the early '90s i wanna say?); they killed it, if anything more polished than that "rock concert" footage, especially rod.

rod price is one of my favorite slide players and a major influence on my own meager slide stylings.

Foghat was great. Caught Rod Price once opening for and sitting in withKim Simmonds/Savoy Brown.

I loved them. I saw them three times back in the 70's, at their peak. From opening act to headliner with Fool for the City. Dave was an amazing singer and showman, and Rod was a superb slide player. They had very clear and present guitar sounds as well.
