Sad to hear this. His personality and voice had a way of invigorating whatever he was talking about. He managed to remain positive and constructive yet not come off as pandering to rock stars. The guy was a good conversationalist and didn't appear to depend on scripted questions. His legacy is a great contribution to documented music history.

Best DJ ever. Played deep cuts of music. Always interesting and provocative. He was a legend and will be missed.

If you live in SoCal, and/or have for most of your life, you know what Bob brought to the table - great music, great interviews, and a great style. Major loss for all of us.

Dang..I grew up in SoCal listening to Bob Coburn and Jim Ladd. Lots of memories listening to BC on Rockline..RIP.

Rockline was great. When I was a kid, I sometimes wished there would have been no callers calling in, and just BC interviewing the stars. The conversation was more entertaining.
