Stones are coming to San Diego May 24th and their website says the tickets go on sale April 13 but you can buy some on line?
    How does that work?
Will they cost more on the 13th?
    Should I buy now?

Beats me, but I bet there's a hefty service charge involved if you order them now...

I think some american express cardholders get a jump on tickets for their concert here.

But that's April 8. I'm not sure what the OP is talking about (?) - what's available now?

Pricing aside, it's likely to be crazy hot July 1st.
Kinda surprised they're not doing at the Panthers stadium in Charlotte vs Carter-Finley in Raleigh (i.e. NFL vs state college).

Also, the U2 show at Carter-Finley in '09 was a mess, traffic-wise. Lots of ticketholders missed the show due to not finding parking.
Hope you have a better time than they did.

    I agree.

Besides, there's something a little creepy about seeing a 71 year old man dancing on stage singing about getting turned on by a school girl his great granddaughter's age.

When I was in college we called them the Rolling Bones...lol. This was in 1982.

I was fortunate to see the Stones in Tokyo in about 2004.
There was no need for a warm up band. The sound crew was playing old blues through the PA while Keith and Ronnie's amps idled on stage. Their library of work makes seeing them special. They rocked that night. 55,000 Japanese singing "who who" was awesome. I equate seeing the Rolling Stones to seeing any other legendary band. They still put on a show.

They are getting pretty old. I am not sure I would want to buy tickets so far in advance.

"Stray Cat Blues" is one of my faves by them - do they still play it?

It was the emergence of the dangerous, scary Stones, IMHO. That and "Memo from Turner."

I don't think those are actually available. They're through TicketNetwork:
