    ... anybody here has one?

I always wanted to try one since I first saw one in the guitar mags when it came out, but I have never seen one with my own eyes...

I don't have one myself but a friend of mine does. He bought it new when they came out, 1996 I believe. I've played his and while it is nice I'm not a big fan of that body style. I prefer the regular Rhoads style much better. A couple years ago they used to pop up on E-Bay for sale now and then but they weren't cheap!

Thanks for the info. Was his an aluminum body, or wood?

I remember reading a review when they came out that the sharp point at the end of the headstock extends past the nut, so if you misjudged your big slide down the E string... OUCH!!

I've never played one but I'm thinking wood would sound better than aluminum.

Yup...just saw it the other day. It's literally been there for years...to the point that it's decor now. They have a little alien doll sitting on it as well! It weighs like 4lbs at the most. Not my thing at all, but hey...it's different.

Aluminum. With the LSR tuners, Tom Holmes pickup, the whole deal.

I had one but sold it. It was kinda neat and interesting, but I couldn't justify keeping it when I knew I could sell it for double what I paid, which is exactly what I did.

I hear ya... I just think that it looks about as neat as a guitar can look. I am not sure that I actually would care about how it sounds. I think I'd just slap that sucker on the wall for decoration :)

Yep, it has 'wow' factor as far as materials and looks, but after a few weeks of owning it, the excitement wore off, and since it didn't offer anything special tone-wise that enticed me to pull it out and play it...it never left the case much and as soon as I needed the $$ for another purchase, onto ebay it went.

It actually didn't sound bad, but just wasn't anything special. Plus, it was always cold to the touch. The body never really seemed to warm up to room temp. Must have been the mysterious alien alloy ;)

Good lord, that's still there? That thing (with little alien dude) was there when I went on my first trips to Chucks. Amazing.

Here is my Roswell. It has an alder body and a Bareknuckle Rebel Yell pickup. She orignally had a faux aluminum finish but i had master painter Mike Learn apply a Marvel Zombies Silver Surfer graphic.

I've always been curious about these too. I remember seeing Daniel Johns playing one and thinking "I MUST have one!"- in all of my 16 year old wisdom, lol. :roll
