Here is a demo of the Royal MSG100, based on an early '69 Plexi modded for use with KT88 tubes. This amp replicates Jimmy Page's number 1 and nails the Zepplin tone from 1973 and onward! Currently on sale at royalamps.com

The MSG100 JPage Model is a wonderful amp - the piece shown in the Royal Amp vid above belongs to me (i own two!). No worries capturing JPage tones, will do those all day long. But that big broad tone sounds great most anywhere.

Interestingly, we tried the amp with real GEC KT88s - but eventually settled on JJs as we thought it sounded *better* with new tubes rather than the old GEC$.

Awesome amp - very highly recommended!!

I like the sound - but you've got some weird filtering happening
on the recording. And what's with the Marshall's there - are they on?

Hi... No the Marshalls are not being used, the amp you are hearing is the Royal MSG100 sitting on top of the two Marshall heads... also, what do you mean 'weird filtering'?.... Maybe you are referring to the somewhat unusual tone of a vintage Ttop pickup combined with a PAF?.... That is a unique tone that Jimmy Page got from his #1 Les Paul that we are intentionally going for.

I love the Hiwatt Jimmy Page you built me, and I am pretty impressed by this amp as well. Really good work Eric.

Nice job, really sounds like Pagey. I especially like that it's not too gain-ey - most cats use far too much gain when trying to cop LZ tones. THIS level of gain is how Jimmy did it. KT-88's sound fantastic.

    Sounds great, thanks, Dana O.

Sounds to me like they did a pretty good job with this amp. Nice to see someone do this.

Sounds great, but your white suit and your black outfit need more dragons.
