I recently received my slab white guard tele from RS. The guitar is absolutely amazing; not to mention the over the top customer service. If anyone is on the fence about purchasing a tele from one of the custom builders out there, BUY RS. Great price, unbelievable instrument. Can't say enough about their company and their product

They don't get much love here, but you are right. My RS Tele is as good as it gets. Great people at RS.

What was the cost of your guitar? I don't see pricing on their website.

Although I initially dismissed their super pots as magic pixie dust tomfoolery, I swear by them now. I'll admit, I didn't find any mind-blowing tone improvements, but their pots are extremely consistent. They never surprise you--and that's not a bad thing with pots. When you adjust the volume or tone it does exactly what you expect, there's no second trip back to the knob to put a bit more on or shave a bit off. Better still, they have a very long and usable sweep, so it's easy to get fully dialed in exactly where you want.

    I think they're great.

Edit: Oh boy, Mojo! That looks like fun! Very nice guitar, sir.

That's some really nice playing, Mojo! Very expressive. I like how the top end is very sweet but really stings when you dig in. Nice tight bottom end, too. I kept thinking "Hit the E again, hit the E again!" Yes, I wanted you to drop the bass. ;)

Seriously sweet. That sounds sooo nice. Excellent playing- your touch and dynamics are just so lovely. Thank you for sharing!

I love the Tele/Tron duo, I've got a couple of those Fanos TC6's in that configuration. They really are a unique combination.

I am this close to sending a CS Strat body up to them for a paint job. This close.....this thread may put me over the top!

    It's a silly rule :)

And thanks for the supportive words about my playing, @dansworld . That means a lot!

me too. About 7 miles away. Nice guys. I haven't bought anything yet, but they were more than happy to give a full tour of their place.

I'd love to tour their place, but you know I'd leave with a few more guitars :)

I was able to play 6 or 7 different models (Tele-types, a V-type) a few years ago - each one was incredible - very consistent from guitar to guitar. Killer.

Im a bit farther away than that.. Ashland, but I took a partscaster/Strat, parts to them and they put it together and set it up several years ago. They had just made 2 guitars out of the flooring from the old UK Wildcats Gym Floor. Maple.

They had a UK Widlcas BB team theme, and were either Explorer, or Firebird type, I cant remember now, and had the Wildcat LOGO, and was Blue, and White.

They were both signed by coach Cal, and the whole team. 1 was auctioned off, and the proceeds given to UK, and RS kept the other 1. I think they got $50,000 for it.
