running a nice small tube combo on just breaking up and boosting it with a good treble booster and using a delay in front........would i get off with that regarding the delay sounding OK in this mix?

I run a 90's ac15 right near the edge of breaking and push it with different levels of dirt and delay all the time. The only thing to be careful with is a hollow body that doesn't have the solid blocking (like a casino) because they WILL feed back with any significant amount of delay.

your delay is the floor, front of amp, yeah?

does the delay not NEED to be very subtle at that level and distortion?

You may be able to get away with it by running the blend or levels below unity.

All of my effects are in front of the amp. Delay levels obviously vary from song to song, but the delay can be pretty prevalent for songs like The Time Has Come or All Because of Jesus with no problem.
