Im gonna sound like a noob here, but oh well.

I noticed that there are two kinds of russian muffs, the lighter ones with the round knobs and the darker ones with the straight knobs. I know there is a difference between russian and USA, but is there a difference between the two russians?

The Civil war and Green do have different flavors. I prefer the Civil war to the green myself.

Actually, there are a lot more than two.

    Red Army V1
    Red Army V2
    Civil War grey +blue
    Civil War Grey + white
    Civil War grey + Gold????
    Civil War Green Transition
    Tall Font Green
    Bubble Font Green
    Bubble Font Black
V7D large case black(non bubble font)
    V8 black 6 screw
    V8 black 4 screw

    The way it shakes out:

Red Army V2(sky's the limit on price), and a few Civil Wars($300+) = 430pf caps in the tonestack. slightly more grindy. awesome. expensive as hell.

Red Army V1(sky's the limit on price), Most Civil Wars($300+), green civil war, tall Font Greens($200+) = pretty much the same. This is the grail for Pulse era Gilmour wannabes

Bubble font green($200 or so), bubble font black(somewhere between $150-200), non-bubble large box black($150 or so) = pretty much the same. similar to above category, but a tad less bass. Maybe a bit less warm?

Small box black = similar to bubble fonts, but less bass. Easily modded to other Russian specs though. these used to be $30, now they're $100 or so.
