Thanks...that's a show I would have like to been in the room for.

Been wondering why we in Tampa don't have an Americana Music series at the TBPAC or one of the other mid sized performance locations.

TGP observation: Kinda strange seeing a show from Nashville with no Teles...in fact, even weirder, with all the odd ball instruments that Buddy and Ry play.

I think Ry has a baritone telecaster with a longer neck that he sometimes plays - maybe didnt need it for that gig - loved his playing when Robert Plant came to the stage

Not a bad house band: Ry Cooder, Buddy Miller, Don Was. In 2013, Mike Campbell was in the house band too.

The Americana Music Awards is my favorite awards show. Jason Isbell swept them last year. I've joined the Americana Music Foundation and I get to nominate artists for this years award show. I've never been to Nashville, but this show has got me thinking, especially if Ry Cooder is in the house band again. He is one of my three or four favorite guitar players, and has a huge influence on me. I also like his politics. ;)

Here is a really good Ry Cooder show from my old favorite Santa Cruz California after work waterin hole, The Catalyst, man drank a bunch of Anchor Steam beer on tap there over the years. Ry does a big stage full of people really well

Thanks for posting, that played on my local PBS station a couple of months ago late on a Sunday night, but I had no clue and only caught the final 20min or so. When I looked it up on the website, there were no scheduled rebroadcasts, so I really appreciate this link.

I've really enjoyed your coodercaster thread in the guitar forum, it's very informative.

Amanda Isbell bought Jason a Coodercaster for his birthday this year.

    J. was freaking out. You would too probably. Ha! Foil wrapped pickuppy goodness.
