That's one narrow cab! How does it sound?

I think it's pretty sweet. I think you need to add something to the lip of the speaker cutout.

Suggestions?

To my ears? Just as good as the stock cabinet. Although I know material and dimensions change sound dynamics, I haven't been able to perceive any negative differences. One of the cool aspects of this is because of the brackets I put in the top of it, it can change from closed cab to open cab really easily. I do notice a big difference between the suitcase open or closed and both are totally usable.

I should probably do something about that duct tape on the locks too...

Just havin' fun :D

Assuming you saved the original cab or the original cab was damaged beyond repair, than I have no issue.

The suitcase does look really cool, I just would be concerned about heat. Those little champs do run pretty warm and I don't see hat you have any place for the heat to go....

I'd be worried about heat too. Those little buggers do run pretty hot and with no ventilation [that I can see] it might go the same way as a lot of original ac30's and burst into flames as you're playing.

I've saved the original cab and can easily reassemble it.

It does get warm in there, but I have been gigging with this as my main amp for the last two months without an issue. If it gets too warm, the brackets can hold it open about 4 inchs.

I actually prefer the sound of this amp to my original '66 Princeton, which is one of the reasons I wanted to do something to spice it up and get it out of it's traditional "Silverface" box

Would make for a good show, though

that's the only thing bothering me, and the cutout near the panel seems jagged.

Heat won't be an issue if you play with it open like in the new pic.

Great work, dude.

I am deeply worried about this! Aren't you concerned that mixing tweed luggage with silverface electronics will cause some sort of time warp, anomaly, paradox (Insert your favorite Sci-Fi term here) and cause you to start time traveling, or worse, cause the end of the world as we know it?

Could you ease the pain by putting chicken head knobs on it? I don't know.

Thig -
I took the same risk with this anomaly - a 5E3 tweed in black tolex/silver grill cloth and a black faceplate with white numbers. So far, no matter/anti-matter implosion.

I love the suitcase full of blues. Just a little trim work would make it perfect!

I dig it a lot. It'd be pretty cliche to say that it's now the perfect little........grab 'n go?

wow... I usually stay over in the "effects, pedals, strings, & things" section. This is my first time straying into the amp threads. You guys are nice :beer
