Roger released a 4 string version of his Modern 5 bass.

    Got it.
    Love it.
The tone, the neck shape, the fit and finish, balance, playability.

Modern hi fi sounding with tones to die for. I've waited years--literally--
for Roger to design and release this bass and it was worth the wait.
    • quilt maple on chambered alder body
    • '59 burst finish
    • flame maple fingerboard
    • no dots inlays on the fingerboad; only position markers on the side of the neck
    • black hardware
    With Nordies at first

a beautiful instrument for sure! I love Roger's narrow band bursts...and just look at the figure on that neck!

I was pretty much blown away when I opened the case. The tone is just sick, esp for slapping.

Grrrrr. I had some disposable income a few months back. I called Sadowsky and asked about this very bass.

They alluded to the fact that it may be coming but couldn't say anything else.

So I used the money for a fine Anderson guitar (that I possibly like enough not to sell). And now this comes out.

    LeonD

P.S. Fine looking guitar by the way.

P.S.S. I wonder if (when) this'll be coming out in a Metro version?

Like everything about that bass - the finish, the hardware, and that crazy, flammed, no-dot maple neck! That is one fantastic looking bass. And having had the opportunity to play Roger's creations, I know that it just smokes!!

Enjoy it in the best of health!

    Cheers,

    Edward

my buddy here at school has one and its incredible, probably my favorite bass. He has the 5 string version with an ash body. Sounds incredible.
