Really want Brian Wilson to see this. He needs a laugh.

Any bandmates or crew on this board?

Didn't Dennis Wilson write that one?

I first heard the tune played by KGB. I found the record in a cutout bin in a record store in Dothan, Alabama.

I read somewhere awhile back, before the internet, about how certain tunes at certain BPMs will make folks slow down and possibly go to sleep. A particular Stevie Wonder tune was mentioned.

It was on Holland, one of the "late" Beach Boy albums (paid a lot less attention to them after Dennis' death)---I think it got a lot of play way back in the wayback ('73), and though Brian was seemingly detached from the album (had two or three of his songs and an oddball/interesting EP "Easter egg" enclosed---"trippy" reflection of Brian's Idon'tknowwhat), it's got some solid songs w/ Dennis and Carl (and Blondie Chapin, and Ricky Fataar, who later became a Rutle) doing some quality work (and sort of indicates where they were going to be going in the future---and it still has those harmonies), and Van Dyke Parks got involved in it too.

After Leaving This Town, check out Only With You, Funky Pretty, Steamboat, along with Sail On, Sail On Sailor

Holland is an excellent album, showing how far they could move from surf music and still retain those trademark harmonies.

Holland is a great album. Still a fun listen after all these years.
