Same speakers different articulation?

I just put two eminence wizards in my 2x12, and they are a vast improvement over the other speakers. However, it seemed when I was testing them out that the left speaker has more bite while the right speaker has a more round, bassy sound. Is it normal for two of the same speakers to come out of the box sounding different? If not is there maybe some connection issue somewhere down the line? Thanks for any help

Every component in every mechanical device has a tolerance. Therefore, no 2 "identical" devices are ever truly "identical".

That said, I've found Eminence's products to be amazingly consistent. To be able to hear a distinct difference between two of the same model strikes me as odd.

That's what I thought, I figure i'll open it back up and make sure all the connections are snug before I try it again.

un-hook them & make sure they're both the same DCR.

I have seen 8-ohm Emi speakers with 16-ohm labels.

(to see the label, you need to peel down the black rubber gasket....but it should be there, on the side of the magnet)

I think I know a friend with one. I'll be sure to check that when I get back home, thanks. Anything to not blow up my amp...
