I really like my Macht 6! The tube-powered tremolo is beautiful and one of my favorite amp trems. very cool overdrive on the amp and the tone control is helpful and can shape the overdriven tones in different ways. I also like the cleans a lot with either humbuckers or single coils. great build quality and it takes pedals really well IMO. very cool amp and I hope you like it!
I had a Macht 12x that I really liked but I traded it for another amp that was equally impressive. When the Macht 6 came up for sale, I had to jump on it.
I love mine. Its got the marshally thing going when its cranked and a fendery thing going when its clean, but with a special savage sound all its own. And its a freakin' loud 5 watts!
I agree. The low input, combined with my Telecaster and a Holy Grail reverb, yields a fabulous warm Fender clean (kind of brownface Princeton). It also takes dirt pedals extremely well, making it a low-volume bedroom/recording amp of distinction.
I have a Macht 12 that will be for sale very soon (just need to get some pics).
It's been a really great amp, but I can't keep 'em all, and I just got a '64 Vibroverb (a real one, not a reissue).
