I'm 40 years old now and used to take guitar lessons from a guy named David Steele here in Indiana back in the late 80's/early 90's. His father was a company "implant" for GM and had moved from New York. Even when we were in our late teens, he was far beyond his years in skill and theory. I took lessons from him for a couple of years before he moved on to the Berklee College Of Music. A couple of years ago, I saw him on a DirecTV country music concert and it blew me a way. He was playing with country music artist Gary Allan and played with Steve Earle and many others. Truly a talented guy.
I happened to see this Jimmy Kimmell video where David's still playing on tour with Gary Allan. I'm unsure if he's playing on the recordings or just touring. Man, why didn't I listen to this guy more and practice??? He's the one on the right as you're watching the video, playing the gold Les Paul.
