Jason Bonham on drums and Michael Anthony on bass. Sammy was crazy good and hit every note. At 67 he is incredible. He's put on a few pounds though! Vic Johnson was sick on guitar. The played Van Halen and Led Zeplin tunes too. Great night!

I saw Dylan there a week ago. Ruth Eckerd is a nice hall. Do you have the set list for Sammy?

I went to Cabo San Lucas for Sammy's birthday party 2 years ago. His club was so packed they had to move their equipment outside and blocked off the street for the show. Awesome.. I have seen Sammy with Montrose, His first solo show, With Van Halen, and many others since. He has always put on a great show..

67? Holy crap! All of the dudes I listened to growing up are starting to get up there. Ace Frehley just turned 64, Jeff Beck is gonna be 71 - never really thought of their ages in the past but seeing numbers like that it's sinking in that they're not immortal rock gods. I guess that means I'm getting older too, huh?

Every time I've seen Sammy (once solo and several times with VH) he's always been really fun to watch. My in-laws are in their late 60s and happened to be in Cabo for one of his birthday bashes; they went and had a blast.

Keep in mind, he finally has started tuning down (what sounds like) a whole note. But still...

A buddy of mine scored a $13 ticket on Stubhub and went alone. I would've gone for $13! He said it was a solid show. REH is a nice intimate venue too.

Cool! I've alway dug Sammy's Montrose and Solo stuff .... even some of the Sam Halen was good! I'd go see him if he comes around here.

I saw Sammy about 6 or 7 years ago and was surprised at how well his voice has held up. Plus, the guy has got tons of energy! It was an awesome show. And Vic Johnson is a freaking monster player. He comes around this way again, I won't miss him.

I'll be seeing him July 3rd at Ribfest.
    Hope it's the same band.
