I'll give a complete review when my ears stop ringing so I can concentrate a bit. I spent the night in the front row directly in front of Rich and the sound levels were a bit on the high side. Entertaining show with probably the best version of Wiser Time I've heard. Jackie was great and quite animated. Looked like he was having fun. Here's a few pics taken with my phone for you.

Where was the show? When I saw them in July, I thought they looked really happy to be playing together. Kind of a different vibe from shows Id been to in the past. I thought the band sounded the best with LD but if Jackie is what it takes for them to keep a consistent line up then Im all about it.

They were in Madison, WI. Happy would be a good description of what I saw. Chris looks like something straight out of a Grateful Dead show.

I don't think they're ever going to have a consistent lineup at this point. After this tour, they'll go their separate ways for a while and regroup in a couple years and hit the road again with someone else on guitar.

I like Jackie, liked Luther, Audley, MF, etc. It's the Robinson's band, I like all the various combinations.

    Nice seats!

I saw them in Nashville on 4/20 and it was awesome. Frampton joined them on stage.

I have front row tickets for the Louisville Palace show in November.

    Cant.
    Effing.
    Wait.
    :)

Here is what I believe to be the setlist from last night. The 2 standouts for me were Wiser Time and Thorn in My Pride. Both evolved into long, intense jams. Hearing Feathers was an unexpected surprise for me.

    No Speak No Slave
Been a Long Time (Waiting on Love)
    Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution
    No Use Lying
    Nonfiction
    Lowdown
    Wiser Time
    The Garden Gate
    She Talks to Angels
    Thorn in My Pride
    Sting Me
    Twice as Hard
    Remedy
    Feathers
    Shine Along

You've never been to a Crowes' show before, have you? ;)
Dude - If given the choice, NEVER stand in front of Rich Robinson's amp line! :messedup

2 yrs ago I think, they played at a great outside venue 1/2 mi away.

In my backyard it was louder than anything I heard from that distance. Much.

This is a joke, right? Serious question.

We have front row, 8 seats, I intentionally claimed the ones on Rich's side.

I am aware of how freakin loud they are, but I have never been front row. I've been 10th row before, but not 1st. Do I need to move? I just cant see this being a bad thing.

Reserved seats and no choice? Wear earplugs. Whenever I see them I stand in the middle, in front of Chris. I'd never intentionally stand in front of Rich's amps. No joke. Dude likes to hear his amps breathe...FIRE! :roll

Saw them in Chicago at The Vic for both shows in April, and again last month with Tedeschi Trucks Band and the London Souls. Such a great band!

    Poppycock!

I'll take my decibels and I'll take them like a man! LOL

My girlfriend and my sister are both going. I told them weeks ago that the crowes are the loudest band I have ever heard. They've been warned.

TGP should expect some great pics on or around Nov 8th :JAM

If Rich is playing through a vox AC30, how loud could it really be?

Had the same experience like the OP in '95 with The Crowes (in Rotterdam). Had a ring seat on the left side of the stage. My left ear was ringing for three days.
