........your favorite amp of all time and it's one you'll never sell?

............. until next week when you pull something else out of the closet and start playing it, then you realize THIS amp is the tone king of all time and how could you have not realized it before??

..... and then the week after, it's something else? :huh

.... or is it just me?

Just think of them like your kids or pets-- You love them all, they're all different, they have their own personalities, and you enjoy spending time with, and playing and working with-- all of them and inevitably they sometimes irritate you too. ;)

Tweedy I've seen pictures of your amps. I'll bet all of them sound killer and a regular rotation is good. Pretty much the way I do it.

i have 3 amps: 67 bf twin reverb, victoria 5112 and a fender 6g2 princeton with a celestion g10 gold.

they are all awesome, and the twin is my oldest friend, but the princeton is without a doubt my favorite sounding amp. i mean, it's not even close.

I used to have a Windsor half stack that has a tone I didn't care much for. Luckily I have a Blackheart HD half stack I'm happy with but sometimes I want to play with the Windsor. Never figured that out.

When I sold it I didn't miss it.

:idea

I would just daisy chain them all together (be sure to use a buffer!!1!one!) and run them all at once at full volume :JAM

That way you won't know which one is your favorite, you'll love them all!

Be sure to set all amp volumes up full, and then break the knob off. No reason to use any other setting.

Nope. Just you. I don't own any redundant amps. Each amp serves a certain tonal purpose. One for hard rock, the other for clean-ish/overdrive tones. While I could use the clean channel of the JSX and run my effects into it for overdriven tones, it just doesn't have the same magic my ac30 has. I could run a metal zone or riot into the front of my ac30, but again, it wouldn't have the same tight punchy response of the JSX and 412 cab. I don't know if I'd say "tone king of all time" but both sound really good for what they're doing.

I have too many amps (and too LARGE of amps) to be playing them all regularly. Most of them sit in storage these days along with 4x12 cabs, stacks of Altec A7-500's, and a host of interesting and oddball speaker cabinets. More in the garage ready for gigs or the occasional loan and more in my den (last count, half a dozen tube-based amps, three or four preamps). When I get bored with one I plug into another, but there's usually just one or two that get most of the work most of the time (though that goes through phases). As long as I'm occupying just ONE room of the house with this stuff, I can get away with it <G>.

i use different amps for different purposes. some stay home because i love them, but they dont fit the gig or band situation, others ,like my slo or maz sr 1/12 reverb come out all the time because they are work horses and always sound great , no matter what the situation. some, like my trainwreck only come out to bigger, important gigs. or do studio work.
i use all of them

I know, never say never, but I've got three of my five that I can't ever see selling. A Deluxe Reverb, a Pro Reverb and a Crate V32 Palomino. I gig with those, Deluxe or Pro, with the Crate as a #2 when I want to have more variety and want the bother of bringing/using two amps. Very occasionally I'll gig with the Crate alone.
