Scam alert on a WTB

    So i posted a WTB in the guitar emporium and received this directly through e-mail and not as a pm through the forum.

    I tell him "Please do not take offense but this sounds like a scam" and ask him for an additional picture with current newspaper or something in front of the guitar.


    He never replied back yet prior to that he replied instantly to all of my other e-mail which took place over several hours.

    Maybe he's at work and can't reply...or maybe it's a scam. I'd be careful...

    Grammer, usage and spelling cop says scam.

    Yes, his 'grammer' is faulty...no one on TGP would spell it like that.:)

    It's the type of response I typically receive on Craigslist posts, total scam.

    I implore every member to keep their email private and make people PM you to do deals.

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

    I feel pretty certain the "seller" had less than pure intentions and while i'm looking for feedback I also hoped to get this out there as a PSA as well

    Not sure it makes any difference but he said his TGP name is Audioalex21 and not the same as his email which is obviously very darn close.

    I hate when people use this picture in post 11. It is so unkind. So damn unkind to celebrate mocking with regard to what one thinks is beauty/ugliness. Superficial and unkind.
