Scooped mid pickups for a john mayer tone

hey guys first thread...so ive heard that to achieve that mayer tone i need some scooped mid pickups, what are my best options for this. im building a strat right now and am going for a mayer blues sound with it so this is a pretty important step. any input is great thanks

Yea he uses the Big Dipper pickups in his sig strat. I played one of his sigs the other day, loved how it played, but wasn't crazy about the PUps.

Another company that makes them is Torres Engineering's Buzkut pickups...designed to mimic the scooped mids JM pickups. Haven't had too much experience with them. I just know that they charge for repairs (I got the pickup used and it came in the mail damaged).
