Screen resistors in a Princeton?

    Any reason not to have the 470 ohm screen resistors on the power tube sockets? the 1.5k ones also? I've had them on there before.

    They serve to protect your power tubes. Whenever I see a vintage amp without grid/screen resistors, I put them in.

    That's been my thinking in the past. Wondering why Leo didnt put them in though he did in other amps at the time. $ I guess!

    At least the 1k resistor used instead of a choke would act to limit fault current in the event of a SG short...
