...Yes, I searched it and couldn't find much info. so far. There were some posts but just not a lot of descriptions of them. I thought there might be more people with them now and would like to know of their experiences. I actually am waiting to install one in a cab I'm having repaired but haven't had a chance to hear it yet. What can I expect? Thanks.

I played my Red Iron T-Rex through Jim's scumnico loaded 4x12 and I'm officially ruined....... They sounded awesome! I will probably get two and stick them in my standard PCW 2x12...

Yup he loves them. I have had 8 different alnico speakers and the one I'd pick over all the rest is the Scumnico for all around usefulness and great even tone. Plenty of nice high end, smooth not subject to weird harshness great clean tone. Warm mids with plenty of depth. The bass is firm not mushy not over powering does nice power chords with a fuzz, boost, and a Marshall head. I run a 4x12 in a sealed Marshall cab with beam blockers. The beam blockers I made 4" and don't dull the highs just distribute them better, note I use beam blockers always on everything so all of the alnicos have been compared the same way.

What's are the tonal differences are people hearing compared to the Blues? Ideally through Vox-inspired amps...

I don't have a lot of hours with Blues for comparison but I just put a 30W Scumnico in a JMJ-30 and it sounds great so far. Plenty of treble and nice tight bass.
