Hey everyone! Just joined the forum. This place is great!

Here are my options and I want your take(s) on what you would do.

    I am a fan of the h75/m75 scumback combination. I own 2 100 watt h75's and 2 100 watt m75's. I also own 2 65 watt h75's and 2 65 watt m75's.

    My options are:
    1. 2 port city os 2x12's with the 100 watt h75/m75 combo. This is nice because I could have a backup cab for gigs or play two amps at once.
    2. A 4x12 with the 2 65 watt h75 and 2 65 watt m75 in an X pattern.
    3. A 4x12 with 2 100 watt h75 and 2 100 watt m75 in an x pattern.
    4. same as number 3 but having a stereo mono jack where I could have two amps at once as in two 2x12s in one 4x12, or a 4x12 acting like a 2x12 with a back up. Or just a 4x12 with 100 watt speakers.

    Amps used are:
    Ampeg v4
    '73 100 watt super bass
'74 100 watt super lead with Friedman brown eye.

    Music played:
    Loud rock similar to tool/Qotsa

Running amps dirty, using volume pedal or knob to get clean.

    I think that's it!
    Thoughts?

Welcome to TGP Davelake, nice amps and speakers you got there! I have a 4x12 slant Germino cab that is loaded with H75 & M75's (65 watters) in an X pattern and its sounds great with my 76 JMP MKII lead 100, Komet 60 and Badger 30 heads.

I personall think that loading a 4x12 cab with (4) 100 watt speakers is overkill (option # 3), I do however like your option #4!

I had a V4 head back in the mid 70's but I was running it through an Acoustic 4x12 cab that was loaded with I think Eminence speakers, I don't remember much else about that, it was a long time ago and I've killed a lot of brain cells since then!

    Thanks man!

Yeah option #3 is kind of a weird choice, just throwing it out there.

Another option could be just getting a 2x12 Port city OS for the 100 watters and a 4x12 for the 65 watters and use whatever I feel like using for the any specific gig. I'm just wondering if there is an option that will nail any situation so I can always focus on one set up?

A 2x12 cab loaded with a mix of 100 watt H75/M75's will cover a lot of ground!
