I'm looking for a marshall 18watt clone in a combo or head.

SDG Vintage 18 watt Marshall Style looks like a nice amp and at a great price. Solid components too.

Does anyone have pictures or sound clips of Steve's 18watter? There are only half/pieces of amp pictures at the website and no clips that I could find.

I'd really love to see and hear this amp.

    Thanks

    -Lution

I can't say enough about Steve and his amps. His build quality, customer service, and knowledge is top notch. He built me an 18w combo w/ all of finest quality components ( Mercury Magnetics, SoZo, Carling, Cliff Jacks and so on. Mine has a Celestion G12H Heritage and it eats Marshalls for breakfast IMO. I don't have any clips but I do have some pics. Steve will do you right and you'll be glad you didn't pay the "Big Name" markup. The 1st pic is the chassis w/ a logo he offers, I had a custom block logo plate made as you'll see in the last pic.

I own an SDG Vintage Tweed Proluxe. Oh Baby. Dang good amp. Rastaman owns the 18 watter. Sweet. I dont do clips so cant help you there. I'll see if I have some pics of mine and Rastaman has some good pics of his 18 watter with a very cool block logo. Me likey. My problem with Steve is he makes so many great amps its hard to choose which ones I want.

Should one get the 18 watter?

    A Lightning?

Or a more high power Custom Tweed. Me thinks what I need to do is catch him when he's got plenty of Amps built and drive up there. It aint that far.

Customer Service? Second to none. :JAM

rastaman, it sure looks like a nice amp. I've heard soundclips of the Reinhardt 18. How does the SDG compare in tone?

    thanks again for the info.

Rastaman was typing at the same time I was.

Lution as your gonna see time and time again at the gear page. Guys anouncing to the world that the amp they have is the best one there is. We all are proud of our gear. We busted our arses getting it. My advice to you is to find what you like.

Yeah Steve dosnt have enuff Eye Candy on his site, But they look good!

No clips to speak of But they sound incredible!

The best of any components there are But they are cheaper than most.:crazy

Red Hots get em while you can. cotton candy, cream puffs, caramel coted granny smiths. Red Hots get ya Red Hots................ :NUTS :drool :crazyguy :AOK

Can you tell I'm out of it after I've worked 36 Hours Straight?:messedup

    nope, couldn't tell. :crazy

I already own a Fargen Blackbird. I can attest that she is soooo sweet for that vintage blackface super reverb tone, plus so much more.... :AOK

I'm looking for another solid boutique builder, like Ben, who can deliver a sweet Marshall 18 plexi/jtm clone with that sweet mojo!!

Hey Steve, thanks for posting. Rastaman gave me a good idea of the combo's looks. I'll bet the head is similar. Very classy!

I'd love to hear some clips of your 18 watter.

As far as asthetics, there's no comprimise. The SDG's I've seen and jammed on smoke.

BTW, my 18w, w/ a Keeley/Legendary Tones Time Machine Boost slammin' the front end is the S$$$T!:RoCkIn

    Great webpage Steve!

I own Steve's deluxe tweed... love it, so warm and round. By far my favorite amp. Eveything else I've owned is gone or is collecting dust. Great communication, service and most of all product.

    Can't give enough praise...

    Thanks.
Here is a link of some new pics.
    http://www.sdgvintage.com/sdgvintage/18watt2.asp
This is what I like to call 18watt version 2.
The cabinet is identical to a regular 18watt.
I am also offering it as a TMB with reverb.

    Steve,
Is that the amp I just bought? The pictures are identical to the ones from the auction. I am assuming that the seller used your pictures from the website.

    Thanks
