It's on its way. So save me some experimentation...where does one put such an effect in the chain? Beginning? Thanks as always, oh pedal-chain-order gurus. AC

Thanks, Donne. First, here's what I use (order varies...a lot! Thus, my request). FD 2, Keeley Comp., Klon, Fuzz Head, AD-9, Digiverb, and a Teese wah and Small Clone sometimes thrown in. I plan on using the SBEQ as just that...EQ. Maybe some mild boost, but that's pretty well covered anyway. I'm looking for the tool to fine tune that final 5%...SB seemed like the ticket. Sooo, ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated, including your favorite overall sequence for this mix. I resisted pedals for years. Used my FD 2 into the amp...basic blues heaven. But I eventually bought another pedal, and another, and LIKE my new found tone sculpture, but need to get serious with nailing it down (well, velcro). AC

    Id likely start with:

    wah - fuzz - comp - clone - fd2 - klon - SBEQ - ad9 - Digiverb

I would probably put the SBEQ at the end of the drives and do the EQing there to send the final signal to the delay and verb

I like fuzz and comps into drives and modulations before drives too

another fun thing to do is put a short delay in front of drives to feed them a fatter signal

and depending on how well that fuzz cleans up you can have some fun rolling your volume down to clean up the fuzz but use the comp to keep the level the same - so your guitar volume becomes a fuzz dirt control.....

lots of possibilities obviously - experiment !!!

Great stuff, Donne. Many thanks. One thing I think I prefer, is placing the comp after the drive (as Keeley recommends). A different but effective switch. I also like the Fuzzhead boosted a bit first...really brings on the cream! But as you implied, many potential choices. Let the wild rumpus start! Regards, AC

right on, you could put the comp between the drives and have both options ---

try delay into comp into fuzz ~~~

yeah - you could put t he PGC in the TIM loop and pop them both in and out together and still whack the PGC with the boost stomp on the TIM.....big fun:BEER

Right I believe the Tim loop is the very last thing - so the boost stomp would be before it....and be slammin anything in the loop ... its the same as putting something after it - just that it will come in and out with the Tim stomp rather than having to double stomp...

Ive also noticed that putting a clean boost after a dyna style comp can bring the snap back - so try the FD2 before and the Centuar after (Centaur as cleanish boost), should put the top end snap back that those style comps round off....... and the FD2 in front of it will add more comp depending on how much level increase you have dialed in.... spearmint;)

I've got an SBEQ on the way also. Does anyone know what are the "flat" settings on the bass and treble controls?
