I just finished watching for the n-th time a Seinfeld episode featuring the 'Soup Nazi'. I couldn't help but relate it to all these stories people talk about here. As Kramer said he is just a lilttle excentric... All genius are... :D

    No amp for you!

Yeah, and I would just love to say "well who in their right mind wants your overpriced p.o.s. amp/soup?"

    Genius? Maybe.
    Dill-hole? You bet.

    Here we go again...
    Do you know the man?
Have you done business w/ Dumble?
Or - as is usually the case - is your opinion based on rumor/hearsay?

    Sure hope so! ;)

And - as has been said over-and-over - Dumble is not responsible for the inflated re-sale prices...

    ooops...
I forget how fast these things go down...
Just a simple joke... The 'Soup Nazi' episode is one of the best and I just related to those stories.
No opinion here on Dumble or even his amps. Don't know him, never played through a Dumble and most likely never will, don't really care about the prices or supposed customer selection, and all legends and truths that surround this always controversial topic. Just know I like most of the tones recorded with them. But this is just as true to many other brand amps...

Elaine's take on the Nazi's soup 'instructions' (sorry the right word just disappeared) made him stop cooking them... This didn't happen when people all around start building their own 'dumblish' amps, did it?

I posted the same "No Amp For You" joke on an earlier Dumble thread that someone posted about contacting Dumble wanting an amp, had the cash ready to go and he said no. I did not spell out the Sienfeld reference as I thought pretty much everyone knows where it comes from.

Now that you are saying I think I remeber it. It wasn't even too long ago, right? What a shame... I am passing old jokes on ;)

Perhaps calling him a "dill-hole" is being a bit crass. I just don't respect that style of doing business. That's beyond cork-sniffing.

Why, it hasn't hit the requisite 19 pages of typical bickering between the usual suspects. Let 'em have their fun...then lock it. (Same as it ever was.)
