Is it the TA15 or 30? What kind of ac30 head? Those TAs are pretty sweet, and being discontinued...so many reasons why you might need what the TA offers that an ac30 doesnt, but I like ac30s, but always more of a mesa fan.

If you prefer what the Mesa brings then do it- I know I did that's why I own my TA-15. Also I've been looking at the used prices of the TA-30 and they're tempting.

Definitely not foolish thinking. I wanted a "voxy" sound, so I picked up a used TA-15 straight from Mesa Hollywood under full 5 year warranty. Comparatively, I find it easier to dial in the AC sound I want at acceptable volumes for the rest of the band and overall stage noise due to Mesa's stellar design features and use of MV. Also, you get the red channel which is smoking on Hi1 and Hi2. I too would love to pick up the TA-30 for the effects loop and reverb but I'm already too far gone in this years gear budget.

    I have a TA-30. Great amp!

As long as it is not a mid 60's Vox
that you are talking about then you
    are far from delusional. :)

No it's not a hand wired nor a mid 60s model so I think I'm good!
