I'm looking for semi-hollow options larger than a 339 but smaller than a 335. Must have set neck and 24.75" scale.

I'm aware of Gibson CS-336, Reverend Manta Ray, and Ibanez AM. What else is out there?

FGN Masterfield is in-between but looks more like a 335. High end MIJ axe.

Yes it is and mine gets almost all of my playing no matter what the gig rock/r&b or jazz.

Nice on the Prospect ... always dug the original statement it made in a crowded field.

Another option roughly in the ballpark - Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion. Singlecut though...

The replies have been extremely helpful so far. Thanks especially for the size comparison pics, PG. I think I hear the Midtown calling me! I knew about the Midtown before, but was mistakenly under the impression that it was the same size as a 333/335. Sometimes it's good to be wrong.

    Any others?

Not necessarily a dis on the Midtowns but they are not constructed the same way as a 335 or 339 and to my ears sound way different. I own a 335, Midtown and 339. I used to own a Prospect and it was a fine guitar.

Another note about the Prospect is you can get one with a floating center block which I think is an amazing feature and really expands the sound to somewhere between a full hollow body and semi.

Nice Prospect, even with that picture (cellphone?) I can see the flame and we know they use real MOP.

Heritage Prospect and Heritage 535 side by side for size comparison, and then solo

The default for a Prospect is a floating centre block, the 535 defaults to a solid block. The Prospect is also available with a solid centre block or fully hollow, plus they come in humbucker or P90 versions, which makes for six different variations on the basic model.

This is a lower-end suggestion than most here, but... the Ibanez ASX3 and AS1X3 models are exactly that size.
