I'm in the quest for a good scale / arps sequences book and i'd like some advice on which one would be a good start.

By searching for sequences or melodic patterns you can find several results that vary from a single tutorial/article to a book or video method. Below is a list of some i've found:

- David Walliman: http://www.guitarinfusion.com/p/melodic-sequences

- Brad Carlton: https://truefire.com/techniques-guitar-lessons/melodic-patterns-techniques/c235

- Jay Friedman -- Guitar Scales & Melodic Patterns @ Amazon

I'm not including the single turorials on the web and I'm not considering going for the Slonimski's Thesaurus of Scales and Melodic Patterns, appears to be more of a collection patterns that may be created by the result of math combinations

Thanks in advance. Ken

You're right, I remember studying Hanon ages ago, but on piano ... I got dumb after switched to guitar because of tab, but the Barry Finnerty's book appears to be easy reading, in the other hand dense on the amount of tasks. Looks like a good candidate.
