Wow! A Klon thread with facts?!!?

I'm not gonna bore you with my own personal Klon psychology, but I will say:

    Bring back the gold box!

And maybe upgrade on the goop.

Kudos to Bill for jumping on and providing some insight.

The rest of this is silly bickering that none of us need. I hope Bill is busy enough and smart enough to not check back in on this weeny sh*t storm. Embarrassing is correct.

Not everyone's definition of success is the same. I think Bill is doing exactly what he wants to do.

awesome pedal Bill. I've heard what the originals do to a marshall plexi and its nothing short of magic.

I have just replaced my silver Klon with my rehoused KTR on my main board and I'm looking forward to testing it out with my band.

Sorry for the humblebrag but before this thread turned to ~100 posts of sh*t I knew Bill wouldn't chime in anymore. I don't blame him; if you had to deal with this level of angst you wouldn't either.

To paraphrase Chris Rock: I don't like the text on the KTR, but I understand.

This is why we can't have nice things.

    Pics of rehoused KTR?

I wonder if the board of the KTR could be fitted into a vintage Centaur enclosure...

I'm sure it could, but good luck getting one. The last enclosure I saw was sold by Truetone for some serious cash and I don't think there are any more. Personally, I'd like it if Bill offered a plain wrap one (maybe black with gold lettering) and the red one with the text...

I know why the text is there and don't blame him one bit, but I think the joke has run it's course.

OTOH, there was one productive thing to come out of this thread and since he won't be joining us for breakfast, I'll take his bacon please...

Mine just arrived today and I still haven't tried it yet.

I personally think that the "kindly remember: the ridiculous hype that offends so many is not of my making" doesn't do much to let the joke run it's course.
It's not ascetically pleasing, the orientation is different than the pedal itself, and for a pedal that expensive I should get a horsey man instead.

Who knows, someday this may be deemed to be the prized version?
