    Get a load of this!
    • I thought my pedal was damaged, so I asked them. Didn't hear back for a few days, replied passive-aggressively that it didn't seem like they cared. (impatient of me):hide2
    • They replied immediately that they cared so much they want my address for a free t-shirt.
    • Instead of no-thanks, I complied and a month later asked if they had sent something. (humiliating)
    • They said they had been out of stock even though the website wasn't, and will send something soon. Ok.
    • A few weeks later, a UPS parcel comes with a C.O.D. due of $23 for the $20 gift. I politely decline.
    • I email SD back to apologize for declining the gift but only because of the COD. They reply that they are not offended, this sometimes happens, paragraph break, "Sorry about that." End of email.
    • I ask if the parcel was mis-labeled, and get no response and reply that this went as bad as possible and I'm done with the brand. No reply.
    • Today, 2 weeks later, the same Duncan promo-t-shirt parcel comes again, from UPS again, with a C.O.D. due of $17 for the $20 shirt I never asked for.
I guess I was right when I said it looks like they don't care. To me, it sure looks that way.
    GEE WHIZ, SEYMOUR DUNCAN :facepalm

This seems like a mistake. How would you like this resolved? Send me a PM and I can see what I can do.

I’ve heard they will come out and kick you in the nutz for free if you agree to the $12 gratuity. Ha

I love Seymour Duncan pickups btw Hope you get this resolved

Cash on delivery. Before the package is release to you. You have to pay with cash or check to the Mailman or Delivery guy.

Is the $$ due related to import duty? Because they would have no control over that.

I'd never give the mail dude cash. He'd probably buy a pack of cigarettes or go blow it on scratch off lottery tix. Wtf.

*edit: I had some phat cats that sounded awesome. You can mail me a set SD, I'll give the mail dude $20 COD. Thanks, love Lung.

Bad CS from SD? This does not surprise me. I have a nightmare story of my own from their custom shop. Never again. I'll still buy off-the-rack pickups, but never custom shop.

And CS complaints about SD seem to be growing in recent years....

I didn’t even know COD was still an option. It was a big thing back in the 80s.

I love my SD pickups, but this post is on the right path: it’s customer service is lacking.

You know, I was going to post the same thing, but I only remember signs and ads that said “No COD”.

I think Seymour has grown to big and probably has corporate owners that bought into his company. Maybe if he just stuck with making pickups and stayed a mom and pop business, things like your situation might not have happened. Customer service anywhere these days, lacks big time.
