Ordered from MF Friday $699 less 10% Gig bag, P-90s, Bound neck!

I liked the other SG, Classic 60s Tribute, that was $799 w/o bound neck (plecked however) but went for the bound neck.

Is "faded" just "dull" or is it the cheap looking (sorry), un-grain-filled matte finish, like the currrent SG special?

Very rad indeed! This is a great combo -- I think the Faded "finish" is actually one of the coolest things around, and P-90s kill!

P100s? Ugh. Do yourself an expensive favor and put some Lollar P90s in there. Or do yourself a cheaper favor and put Mighty Mite P90s in there. The P100s will have to go.

Yes, do make important and expensive decisions based on subjective qualities before being able to witness them firsthand.

Same chunky neck as the "regular" Classic?

Ya you can prolly exercise some sort of super powers and change out the pickups by telekinesis before your hands even touch the guitar.

Don't listen to anyone about the P100s until you give them a good workout and then decide if you like them or not.

I have a faded SG and love it. These are stage machines and just flat out kill at rock. Don't know why they're not more popular.

specs said comfortable "rounded profile" which tends to mean fatter than slim 60s profile. i had a melody maker reissue with the "rounded profile" and it was very comfortable and not too fat.

anyway i will know in few days and see how the p100s sound(which are stacked hums). i might switch to real p90s later on since already have some humbucker guitars.

I have switched 100s out of two LP Specials. They just don't sound right to my ears. They lack the sonic sizzle that good 90s pack.

I ought to sell a couple of mine and get a SG Classic - they have P-90 Lovin' written all over them.
