Which would you buy? SG or POG?

  1. New EHX POG

  2. SG Classic

Have possible good deals on an SG Classic and a new POG.

If I buy one, I can't afford the other.

I have a Strat that I love and play all the time.

I have owned and sold 5 SG's in my playing lifetime (23 yrs.). I only regret selling one.

POG looks like a lot of fun and an inspiring tool.

SG - There is something about an SG that just suckers me in each time.

    I am a recreational player.

    Which would you choose?

I'd get the guitar. The POG is fun, i have one, but if you don't have a guitar with humbuckers I'd get that first

Go for the SG. The P90's in the Classic will give you great clean tones along with scorching dirty tones that rival humbuckers in terms of gain. A nice complement to your Strat.

A good guitar is something that you can enjoy and appreciate for years and years. SG Classics are very nice guitars, capable of a lot of tonal variety, and a super value. Mine is always within easy reach on a stand; I haven't put it back in it's gig back since I bought it.

A POG, while potentially cool and inspiring, is kind of gimmicky. Are you really going to be as excited about it six months from now? Are you going to plug into it every day and experiment? Probably not, but you can always grab that SG and rock out! What could be more inspiring! :dude

    Either way, have fun!

Sadly, that was just the name of my last band.

I am, by all accounts, an idiot.:)

You'll get more use out of the guitar,i'd imagine.
