Reminds me of a girlfriend I had in highschool that I learned a bunch of Shania and Tim McGraw songs for. That was a fun summerThanks for posting...takes me back to simpler times.
She knew what she was doing.
Mutt Lange notwithstanding, these albums share little with each otherIf you like any AC/DC past Highway to Hell, or Def Leppard past High n’ Dry, you should love Shania.
Yeah I don't care for pop country so no. But man is she smoking!!!
They’d been doing it since the SeventiesI refer to that period of country she starred in as "Millionaires In California releasing country albums" (there were LOTS of artist that did what she did, with varying levels of success).

California by way of CanadaMillionaire? California? Sounds good to me! Great Money, Great Weather! I’m in!
California by way of Canada
California by way of Canada
Maybe true, but from what I understand she worked herself up from nowhere and got a demo tape to Nashville after years of grinding it out in the clubs, where she got signed by a label. It’s not like she’s an American Idol winner or some tweenie pop princess. I don’t particularly care for her music but I can appreciate the tenacity and unqualified success she hadYes, that's the point. There were *lots* of "California" people putting out music aimed squarely at the "country" market.
Yup, putting on a show, I would hope that she knew what she was doing, you don’t just get to play an arena and have constant radio and video airplay if you have no ****ing idea what you’re doingAn amusing side story:
I had a pair of free tickets to see her at a big arena show with a huge projection screen and noticed that every time the camera zoomed in on her she put her arms up over her head which accentuated and uplifted her rack. Every. Single. Time.
She knew what she was doing, indeed.
