Hi! As you might know, Eric from Shannon Effects is ceasing production of his widely loved phaser and univibe. Now there's a blowout on his site (www.shannon-effects.com) and you can get the last ones real cheap! Get them while you can - I did.

Why is he stopping? Did he get a better paying gig?

I love the UniPhase I bought last month, so I bit for a Phaser too. Thanks for the heads-up.

Great pedals. It's a shame Eric's getting out of the business. He's an excellent builder.

I LOVE my uniphase #5. His Phaser is one of the best 4 stages ever produced, $130 is a hell of a deal. It's a shame he isn't as good at marketing as he is putting stuff toegther. I think he might get back in it after a while but my understanding was he got a better gig.

Yep, hopefully he'll be back. He's to good to drop out completely.

As far as I know, I'm the one who ordered the last Uni-phase.

What's the consensus on the phasers?
Are they subtle or overwhelming? Clean or dirty?

Mine is "just right", definately not overwhelming. Quite clean and quiet, too. Build quality as good as the top names on the scene. I'm impressed.

    Okay....paid for one, myself.
Sounds like it can do both the subtleness AND the over the top swoosh.
    I'm excited!

Hey, thanks for this thread. Great timing. Been looking to upgrade. Just ordered a phaser.

What was the original price anyway?

Much thanks, Mike. I ordered a phaser this afternoon after seeing your post. Tonight they are gone. More reinforcement to check TGP during my lunch hour...

I can't seem to find music clips of this pedal. How does it compare to the MXR phase 90?

I have a feeling, and I'm sure I'm not alone, that the Shannon is gonna become one of those little legends. I think the value of these pedals is gonna go through the roof in the next few years. I was planning on getting a Uniphase, but figured there'd be all the time in the world to get one and I already have 7 phasers and 2 univibes... :jo

Well, I guess I'll have to settle for the phaser, cause you're never gonna see the Uniphase on ebay. And people will get $300 plus for a used one in about 6 months to a year.

I was THIS close to buying the HBE, but this deal came along at the right time, and I'd always wondered "what if?" about this pedal.

So anyone get confirmation of shipping yet?
