    Even if the auction was primo Shawn Lane isn't well known enough for any of his gear to sell at a high premium.

    Wonder if the guitar is as blurry as the pics. For $100,000 a decent photographer can be obtained.

    Flames a comin'... who is Shawn Lane? And why would anyone pay 100K for an Ibanez? I know, I know... but seriously...:crazyguy

    Even as one of the biggest Shawn fans on the planet, I have to guess that the opening bid is a typo.

    The guitar (poorly) pictured was custom built by Mace Bailey at Ibanez's L.A. Custom Shop. It's based on the GhostRider series. I have a pantload of specs on the guitar if anyone is interested.

    I'd probably cut out my own kidney for that guitar, but even on the black market I can only get about $15K for that.

    I can't imagine that Steve Vai's Evo would even sell for that much.

    Not to mention he joined ebay the day the auction was placed and if you read the first question, he didn't even post pictures until he was asked. Even if the typo was an extra two "0"s, I wouldn't send him $100. for that guitar.
