Having a hard time trying to find a shipping box for a medium size speaker cab: 24" x 30" x 12"

Been to Kinkos, fedex, ups, uhaul and the local music store...none big enough to accomodate packing too.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

If you can't find one, you may need to make one out of two boxes. I had a heck of a time trying to find one that would fit a Mesa cab in.

    Thanks, guys.

Really hard time finding one - Uhaul did not have one large enough.

Probably will have to make one.

    Anyone else?

How about a furniture store or appliance store that may ship larger items?

The UPS store by my house makes custom boxes to the size you specify.

    Go to an appliance warehouse.
They throw out hundreds of sturdy boxes each day.
I usually use an over the stove microwave box from a local Sears appliance warehouse to ship my amps.
Here are just a few highlights from the many step-by-step photos I take while packing the amp........

The appliance box is a good idea. Also, I've used two boxes - one on each end and they overlap in the middle giving double box protection. Many self storage units sell boxes.

I just go to the music store and ask if they have any boxes they're throwing out that would fit a cab.

We use a local place called ChanPack, or their retail store Fragile Handle With Care.

    http://www.chanpack.com/

They make custom boxes of any size, and any packing material. They aren't near you, but you may want to check in your phone book and see if you can find a freight company, or shipping company that can custom make a box.
