    They seem to.

The xl seems to have a little bit more high end, and doesn't seem to stay "underneath" my original lines as well as the 300ms version. Besides doubling up on the chips, did he change any other components?

I've got and love the 300ms and also would love to know the answer to this...

the 300ms sits just about perfect for my tastes but sometimes I think I could use somemore delay time and was thinking about the 600ms version...

To me, it sounds like there is a difference. I have both of them right now, and the 600ms sounds a little more pronounced, and doesn't "sit underneath" the dry line as much as the 300ms.

Maybe it's the compressor I added in though?

The XL does seem to be a bit more powerful. You should be able to turn down the delay mix though and have it subtle. I used my XL last Thurs night with a band and it took a bit of tweeking to get the delay level just right. It was perfect for the slapback sound you hear on "the ocean".

    Thanks for responding Mike.

I have a feeling that it's a combination of the volume increase and my new tone press. Easy solutions.
