Should I Mod My Hiwatt

I have one of the Custom 50 Master volume amps, Hylight era, that came thru Canada in near mint condition. The Canadian distributor had them sort-of factory modded for more gain/cascading the channels, and I don't like the fact that I can't run the brilliant channel clean at all. So, AM I modding this amp by returning it the original British spec? Will it help or hurt the value?

It is an easy mod to do, and to reverse. I don't think it will hurt the resale value.

Is it a factory OL?
If so, go for it. I had a 504 with the same thing going on.
