I've been lurking for a long time checking out your clips and downloading backing tracks. I've wanted to contribute, but I do not have a means to record from home.

If I may, I'd like to present you guys with a couple of links to my playing on youtube. These vids focus on the singers, but you can catch glimpses of me in action and hear the guitar pretty well. The band is called the Prophets of Soul.

First, we're doing "You Got the Love". I'm off-screen except for during the solo.

Next is another vid of my band with, again, mostly singing, but the guitar is pretty prominent in the mix. I do some singing, too!

Guitars are by Tom Anderson. Amp is a Savage Rohr 15. Fulldrive II provides the OD. Sequin shirts sewn by my mom.

    Hope you guys enjoy!

Great band, and killer vocalist! Nothing like a good horn band! You guys ever get down to iowa City? You'd probably go over well here.

It's a cool gig. It's great to have horns and great vocalists to work with. There's a lot of talent in the band that makes it interesting.

On the other hand, it's tough lugging around 10 bodies. That's a lot of schedules and attitudes to harmonize. The denominator is pretty big at pay time, too.

However, I feel like we're on the verge of better things. We've got a solid foothold in our local marketplace and are now getting into bigger, sweeter gigs. The band continues to improve too. As of late, we've FINALLY learned how to be dynamic. We used to be balls out, all the time. But we've finally figured out that high intensity is only meaningful when it is juxtaposed against more more mellow music. Our dial used to go from 7 to 10. But now, we can go from 1 to 10. We can affect the crowd much more profoundly now. That has been a big learning experience for me/us.
