C'mon all you guitarists that own a bass and real bass players as well. Let's see 'em!

I actually started out as a bass player and gradually found my way to the guitar.

I bought this one in '78 when it was 2 years old. My first "Good" guitar.

    1976 Rick 4001.

I went through a major Free jones a few years back, and I had to get a bass like Andy Fraser's. This one comes close. It's an Epi EB-0. I swapped the stock pickup (too muddy) with a Dimarzio Model One. I started playing with a pick only, but now sometimes I use my fingers too. That's why I added the Fender-style thumb rest.

#1 is a Warmoth Deluxe 5, alder body, figured walnut top, 5-piece maple/purpleheart neck, pau ferro fb, Fender Noiseless + Seymour Duncan MM Alnico pu's, Seymour Duncan active pre + custom rotary switch for series / parallel / split wiring on the MM pu and a bypass switch. I've recently replaced that bridge with an ABM to get a slightly wider string spacing. It's one of those "the search has ended" instruments, wouldn't trade it for anything:

I always play 5-stringers but when I saw this gorgeous figured walnut top in Warmoth's Showcase, I just had to have it. The body is also walnut and it rings like a piano plus it's a slap monster:

A clone of #1 (but passive) to have at home (long story, but home is in Germany, band is in Spain!):
