Enough with the pretty stuff, its all about the tone.

What's your number one tone monster.

    Here's mine:

I find it interesting that this is in the Small Luthier category, as if a larger manufacturer can't make a guitar that is the best sounding one you have. Now, before I get flamed, I'm NOT criticizing. I just find the psychology of it interesting..... peace and guitar strings...... :BEER

The best sounding guitar I ever had was made by a very small company and I would post it but alas I am still at work.

It was modeled after a 1953 tele, black with maple neck and voodoo te50 pickups.

I didn't get the impression that it had anything to do with the brand of guitar you own. It's just that the other "Post the Prettiest Guitar You Own" thread happened to be in this group.

That was'nt my intent, it is not exclusionary of any brand whatsoever.
Sorry if I offended any major brand owners...
Just like Drunkagain said, its another show your guitar thread...

Sure, that's cool, I certainly wasn't offended. I just found it interesting. Maybe I'm just bored... :NUTS

That tele of yours looks awesome btw.

    Can I play too?

This one has gotten about 99% of my playing time for the last month. Just plugged straight into my Twin, it's gotten me closer to my dream tone than I've ever been before. (Special thanks to Steve Blucher for building me this incedible pickup...finally :) ).

For the last 4 years its been the guitar on the left. It is in fact to my ears the best guitar i've ever had the pleasure of playing (and I have/had) some amazing guitars come through my mits.

Gotta be my Warren Arlen Roth Tele. 5 Way switching with push-pull tone and volume pots gives a variety of tones...all of them good![IMG]

    Nice guitars guys!

Conveniently, my selection for the best sounding is the same guitar that I submitted to the "best looking" thread.

    Gotta be my...

Zion Classic Maple. I put Anderson pickups in it (H3+, SA1's) and it is a monstrosity. I put different pickups in this Zion because my other Zion still has the stock pickups (which are the same models are were in this guitar) and I wanted this one to do something different.
