1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

There is something special about a 1 pickup guitar. Mine below is pretty darn hip! Date on camera is wrong. I just bought my USA Hamer Special Jr. a few months ago. I've posted it for trade a couple of time thinking I needed something else but I just can't let this one go!

Why am I so bad at taking pics? Anyways... here's my junior. It is my main guitar, and it sounds amazing.

Man, I had the same Ibanez Roadstar II guitar way back in '84. That thing was a real screamer. I thought the stock pickup sounded great. Sold it because I could never get used to the 21 fret neck.....Wish I still had it..

Hey man, what SG is that? What year, etc? My friends dad has one exactly like it, but it's in rough condition, and i didn't notice a serial number anywhere. I've had thoughts of buying it from him, and sanding it down and re finishing it.

    First post.

This is probably the best guitar I currently own, and it was also my cheapest.

I found this poor neglected MIJ Charvel Model 1 in a pawnshop for $70. It was covered in stickers, but I knew it was something special so I picked it up. Got it home, removed the stickers, shimmed and reglued the nut, and repaired the jack, and I had a great guitar at an unbeatable price

Out of 50+ guitars only a single 1 p/u model. Hmmm. Maybe I need to do some shopping.

Thanks Nick. Still loving this guitar. If you look at the picture in the flash at the fretboard, you can see how slick/smooth the rosewood has become from a ton of playing. Good thing it has SS frets!
