I finally built the MIDI PedalBoard of my dreams, Starship Kaom.
Let's see yours!
Looks amazing Bill!!
I just picked up a brand-new Peak FCB4X which may get integrated (somehow)...
Until then, here's mine:
I don't even...
now this is my kinda thread!!!
mine as of today--------->
no doubt...jeez Bill, the Starship is BADASS!
Insanity! Which button do you step on for "Brown Eyed Girl"?
Channel switching is also midi
A Metal Zone???
Hahahaha! I love this board. It is the opposite of minimal.
I love the midrange controls and it's perfect for driving phasers and flangers. This one is also modified - I replaced the input transistor with a hotter one. It's off the charts!
Nice to see all the other MIDI madness happening around here - keep 'em coming!
On Monday my RJM Mastermind PCB arrives and im going from a rack to a smaller MIDI pedalboard with just pedals!
...although something tells me this type of pedalboard wasn't what the OP had in mind
MIDI board from my previous band. All Access controlling just about everything including Marshall JMP-1/Mesa Triaxis preamps into a Rocktron Replifex as well as switching my TC Helicon Voicelive Rack. Blue Box, Geiger Counter and AD3 modded by Rabid Elephant's MIDIbrains for MIDI controllable true bypass on/off (SWEET!). That way almost everything but my noise pedals are MIDI switchable, so my set list is programmed into the All Access.
Also, MIDI IN on the All Access is from a Boss RC-505 for the drummer for MIDI sync and start and stop controls for beat synced effects with the SL-20, AD3 and to an extent the H9, as well as the EHX 8 step program connected to the Geiger Counter's sample rate. I'm working on a new project, so this board is being upgraded and tweaked. Lunar Echo is my new noise solo delay, going to see about slipping the Korg Miku Stomp in, and I'm hopeful that when the Boss SY-300 ships that it will replace the SL-20 with the same type of slicer effect plus presets and MIDI switching, plus ungodly amounts more. Oh, and going into an Axe FX II XL now.
^ that's a unique one, would love to hear what all you do with it, nullin.
Ditched my rack for this (not wired up yet though)
Switch Dr. controls:
Echolution 2 Deluxe
Decibel 11 ABY (under the board) - going to an HRDx and a '64 Bandmaster
Channel switching on the HRDx
Vibrato on/off on the Bandmaster
Holy crap man.
You need to pony up for some right-angle Switchcraft MIDI plugs. Then you could squeeze in another Cornish pedal
A board of how it currently looks however times are a changing every and it's going through a little makeover. I have an H9 about the house and an expression pedal incoming which will also be squeezed onto the the board.
Obviously I have the 3 Strymons hooked up to the EFX MKIV for PC and CC changes, but also have the TC Nova Drive as well - it's a hugely underrated pedal, and with 18 presets and MIDI it's an amazingly flexible beast - with the mix control and routing flexibility it is great for stacking after my other dirt pedals. The upgrade to the EFX MKIV has not only been worthwhile in terms of the Setlist feature, but also using the XPDL input on the EFX allows me to control any of my four MIDI devices per preset - so can do wah on Mobius on one preset, repeats and mix on Timeline on another, then have a gain changer on the Nova on another (I'm useless at rolling my volume pot). Great stuff
It's one thing I'd like to see more of is MIDI dirt - and that doesn't mean digital distortion - the TC Nova is analog but digitally controlled (not that I care as long as it sounds good)
I'd love to get some of the tones from my SL Drive and LT-Metal captured as presets and changable via MIDI.
So far as I know there really is only the Source Audio Multiwave Distortion that has MIDI controllable dirt. (other than multifx units like Boss GT series etc)
Anyone else know of others?
