Have been using this kind for 30 years...
gone back to finger picking as well, and short nails are important, play with the pads as my teacher taught me, however the pick I used to use was a herco tekpick, pretty interesting its aluminum, never wears out, the paint does come off, but thats it, and it also has holes so it does not slip out of my hand.
For a 12 string sound I have a few of these strummer picks, more flexible than buying a bunch of 12 string guitars, and my closet is full of guitar cases for my current guitars, would need a more space to store the additional cases for the 12 strings.
1.0MM Blues & 1.14MM Purples
dunlop jazz 1
Clayton 1.52mm and Stainless Steel (I don't know the thickness, but it's smooth and doesn't bend/flex at all.
using these right now... I'd like something heavier, but they were a gift
