Back in the late 80s, some good friends of mine were in a band..."Alister Crowley" I went to school with the bass player and i frequented thier practices, became their official photographer and loyal follower. Paul the lead guitar player's main axe was a Peavey VANDENBERG...an evil looking metal machine. Another good guitar buddy of mine also has a Vandenberg and he let me play it a while back and ever since i have been searching for one....i finally found one!!!!

I'm not sure what year it was made...im guessing '88. USA MADE Peavey, neck-thru, maple board, reverse headstock, 24 fret. There are becomming pretty rare, from what i'm told...they kinda have a cult following. It has Dimarzio pups, not stock, but they sound pretty darn good! It is in killer condition for its age and being a metal axe, which usually get beat up pretty good.

I've always thought those Vandys were pretty cool and have kept my eye out for one. No luck yet... Your looks fantastic. IIRC, they came in some pretty wild colors too.

Yeah, agreed they are nice guitars. There are actually two Vandengerg models, one is neck through, and the other bolt on. The grand-daddy was the neck through, with the puzzle graphic paint.

Nice peavey 212, btw. Standard 1980's metal issue, and they were very good at it.
