So many. I know I'd never be a start but who knows, one day I might connect with an artist and be a sideman?

    Keith Scott
    Dominic Miller
    Nils Lofgren
    Mike Campbell
    Earl Slick
    Johnny Marr

Just to clarify, I'm not an A list. I'm maybe a C or D list sideman (weekend warrior). I played next A list guy Forest Rodgers (country) years back. I know what you mean, epic!

Not sure of his name, but the guy who plays bass with Guthrie Trapp is awesome.

You’re probably thinking of Michael Rhodes.

Maybe I missed it, but 4 pages on and no one has stated the obvious?

I have no idea how this guy’s playing is viewed by serious bass players, but I absolutely love how he played on that Rockpalast show.

If you listen to the Everyone Loves Guitar podcast you will hear some great interviews with some of the best sideman/woman playing today. I just listened to the one with Johnny Garcia, guitarist for Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks. I tried to search out some live clips on youtube of him, but couldn't find anything.

Teenie Hodges, the great guitar accompanist at Hi Records in Memphis during that label's classic 1970s days . . .
