Simple and effective - thats my strategy!

I love the simplicity here (this is Mark Knopfler's "pedalboard") - and yes I know hes got some rack equipment backstage and a treble booster somewhere in line.

I think I'm going to go sans pedalboard and just have a setup like this. A volume pedal and an amp splitter in front of me. I'll put my delay pedal on top of my amp and just adjust it between songs.
Anybody else do a simple setup.

i'm not quite that simple, but for me so far it's tuner - dirt/boost - delay - amp.

I use effects the same way someone would put sprinkles on ice cream. It's just to add flavoring, but the ice cream has to be the main part. People typically dont have more sprinkles than ice cream. Typically...

I don't have a set pedalboard but two EH bags that I load with pedals depending on what music I am playing.

Typical it's two channel overdrive AB to tuner and delay. I might use an od and boost instead of the two channel deal and I will swap out delays or even not use one. If I have to set up quick I might use a system of guitar-od-combo and run the amp reverb around 4-6 for clean sounds and 2 for dirty ones. Also guitars do have a pickup selector and tone controls...
