    i gotta say,
i saw punky with Angel, open for Blackmore's Rainbow, back in, what, '78?

and punky was playing that white strat, thru a Ampeg V4 full stack,
and was playing his guitar with metal fingerpicks on (like a pedal steel, or banjo player almost) and it sounded GOD LIKE.

    heheh

really, one of the best loud live rock guitar sounds i ever heard.

Saw Angel a couple of months ago, Punky still has the white Strat but I think he was using a Splawn half stack. But he still sounded great. Their new album is actually really good.

You won the hair lottery in the band. That's the look of envy on your other guitar player's face... envy but at the same time happiness that one of you made it this far with hair!

My Mom is in a care home and she's right there in this age grouping.... it blows my mind that some of her contemporaries are out there on stage playing (like this) and she's bedridden and being hand fed pureed food.... What blows my mind even further is that my Mom was listening to Jim Nabors in 1973 instead of Dark Side of the Moon. You can only imagine the rest of the record collection I inherited. That said I think Ronny is still pumping out kids so what the hell right? At least at 50 I'm not coming home to find out I'm about to have a baby brother. Keep rockin' guys... keep rockin'.
